Maria Kolegova
Ultima Vez - Wim Vandekeybus
Maria Kolegova started her dance career in a ballet school at age 5. Later she was educated as a contemporary dancer at the School of Contemporay Dance with the support of Centre of Contemporary Art in Yekaterinburg (Russian Federation). During her studies she discovered different techniques of dance, martial arts, yoga, etc. In 2004, Maria had the chance to perform a solo made by L. Aleksandrova in Seoul (South Korea) on the competition of contemporary dancers where she became a gold medalist. From 2007 until 2012, after graduating from the Theatrical Academy, she was part of the Russian Chamber Ballet ‘Moskva’ (Moscow). During these years she collaborated with choreographers such as Martin Forsberg, Andrea Boll, Regis Obadia, Paul Selwyn Norton and Nikita Dmitrievsky.
