Maria Kolegova (Belgium-Russia) dancer,teacher,choreographer Maria started her dance career in a ballet school (Vaganova technique) at the age of five an continued her education as a contemporary dancer in a school of contemporary dance with support of the Centre of Contemporary Art in Yekaterinburg (Russian Federation). In 2004 she performed the solo specially made for the competition of contemporary dance in Seoul (South Korea) and received the first prize for performing it. After her graduation from the Theatr Academy(acting method of M.Chekhov) in 2006, she was dancing at the State theatre ''Chamber Ballet’' Moscow (Russia). During this period she has been working with choreographers for creations such as: ''This is..as if'' (Martin Forsberg),''If the mushrooms would grow in your mouths''(Andrea Boll),''History of the soldier''(Club Guy and Roni),''Belovodie''(Elena Fokina), Terraclinium'' (Nikita Dmitrievsky'') and many more. Currently, Maria is artistically working with the choreographer, filmmaker, and photographer Wi Vandekeybus and has been a member of his company Ultima Vez since 2012. She has been involved in various creations with Vandekeybus, including ''Newzwart'' (2012-revival), "What the Body Does Not Remember" (2013 revival), "Speak Low If You Speak Love" (2015), "Mockumentary of Contemporary Savior" (2017), "Go Figure Out Yourself" (2018), "TrapTown" (2018), "Traces" (2019), and "Hands Do Not Touch My Precious Me" (2021), ''Scattered memories'' (2022) Maria has also dedicated herself to pedagogical activities throughout Europe, sharing her experience and developing training programs focused on movement and theatre. In 2021, Maria created a piece for the Sub.Lab.Pro project in Budapest, Hungary. She also worked as a movement assistant to Wim Vandekeybus in the creation "Draw from Within" for the Rambert dance company in England during the spring of 2021. In 2023 she collaborates with Ultima Vez as movement assistant in the latest creation “Infamous offspring”. in 2024 she assists in the new production ''VOID In 2024 she collaborates with Opéra de Paris as a movement assistant of Wim Vandekeybus, where she taught classes and shared exiting material of Ultima Vez.
