Johan Inger
Javier Rodríguez Cobos is a Spanish choreographer, dancer, and performance artist currently based in Switzerland. As a dancer, he has contributed his talent to various international dance companies, including Ballet Theater Basel, Introdans, Ballet de l'Opéra du Rhin, and CND II. Throughout his career, Javier has had the privilege of collaborating with renowned choreographers such as Johan Inger, Hofesh Shechter, Alexander Ekman, Sharon Eyal, Marcos Morau, Ohad Naharin, and many other influential figures in contemporary dance. His choreographic work focuses on contemporary dance language and spans from abstract pieces to more performative and theatrical works. Notably, he has developed a significant creative partnership with Icelandic choreographer Frank Fannar Pedersen, resulting in several collaborative commissions for MIR Dance Company in Gelsenkirchen, Ulm Theatre, Valencia Dancing Forward and Konzert und Theater St Gallen. Furthermore, Javier maintains a close artistic connection with choreographer Johan Inger. Having danced in numerous pieces by Inger, he now dedicates his expertise to teaching and restaging some of Inger's choreographic works at esteemed institutions such as Theater St Gallen, The Australian Ballet, The Greek National Ballet, and Les Ballets de Monte Carlo.
