Jiří Kylián
Celia was born in Nice (France) where she studied at the Conservatoire Regional from 1995 till 2001. She then
furthered her studies at the Conservatoire Superieur of Musique and Danse of Lyon in 2001 where she obtained her Diploma in choreography in 2004.
She joined IT DANSA in Barcelona directed by Catherine Allard, where she explored and performed the works of Stein Celis, Peter Zuska, Jiri Kylian, Tony Fabre, Ramon Oller, and Nacho Duato. Celia then joined NDT2 in 2005.
She went on to work with Nederlands Dans Theater until 2014. During those years she encounters, Gustavo Ramirez, Ivan Perez, Stefan Toss, Alexander Ekman, Lightfoot/Leon, Enrich Olvodaivo, Marco Goecke, Johan Inger, Azure Barton, Teo Saarinen, William Forsythe, Amanda Miller, Ohad Naharin, and Jiri Kylian... She has become rehearsal director for the ZfinMalta dance company, had given several dance master classes, performed “14’10” by Jiri Kylian in different countries, and assisted choreographers such as Ivan Perez and Alexander Ekman. Also, she has been creating for the theatre director Maxim Didenko “Earth” at The new stage in St Petersburg premiered in June 2015, created a Duo “Pilgrim’s Journey”(music composed and performed by Marco Santos and choreographed by her) and a music dance video realized by Nico De Voogd in June 2015 for the Conservatory of Nice,” A tear and a smile” for Kanon Dance in St Petersbourg in 2015,” Calm upon you” for Omaggio performing group in India Goa in 2016 and “Petrichor” for Here we live and now at Korzo theater in the Netherlands in 2016. Celia continues to delve into her fascination for movement, art, the world, and humankind in all its complexity...she follows her path of expression and sharing
