SHARE THE DANCE INTENSIVE

Born in Bari (1984) and based in Berlin, starts studying ballet and contemporary dance in his own city before moving to Rome where he deepened the Cunningham technique with D. Verga, B. Ogan and T. C a l e y, f o r m e r d a n c e r s T h e M e rc e Cunningham Dance Company. He dances with the company ATON DinoVergaDanza from 2007 until 2009. Then he starts his research about body languages and improvisation techniques with Virgilio Sieni, Theo Clinkard, Michele Di Stefano and develops performance art skills with Alessandro Sciarroni and joining the vocal chorus of Edipo Re by Chiara Guidi/ Societas. He dances for the companies Altradanza from Bari, Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Giulio De Leo, Antonello Tudisco, Benedetto Sicca, Simona Bertozzi, Le Supplici/Fabrizio Favale, Dante Antonelli, Matan Zamir and Gal Naor/The progressive wave, Karolin Stächele, Leonard Engels, Milla Koistinen, Arno Schuitemaker, Ben J. Riepe, Przemek Kaminski, July Weber. He wins, in a duet with O. Izzo, the prize for young choreographers DNAppunti Coreografici and is selected for Vetrina della Giovane Danza d'Autore 2017 with Studio sulla purezza. In 2019 he wins residency calls of Trac - Theatre residency center of Puglia and NAOcrea/Ariella Vidach with his new work IFIGENIA (Studio sulla rinuncia) produced by Interno5. In 2020/21 and in 2023 he creates two performance for Tanzfabrik Berlin as part of the Performance Project program and teaches regular classes at Marameo Berlin and Tanzfabrik. He showed his work at Romaeuropa Festival, Tanz im August, Teatro Grande di Brescia, Teatro Kismet in Bari, Acker Stadt Palast and Uferstudios in Berlin, TanzArt Ostwest in Gießen, Cango Cantieri Goldonetta in Florence, Gender Bender Festival in Bologna, Sala Assoli and Teatro Area Nord in Naples, amongst the others. In 2022 he’s a recipient of the Research fund from Fonds Darstellende Künste, for his research “Chance and intuition: how to use oracle cards to create movement”. In 2024 he will create a work for the National Academy of Dance in Italy. He holds workshops about improvisation tools and compositions in dance schools and professional programs like TanzHarz/Harztheater, Opificio in Movimento, Leipziger Tanztheater, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, DART Dance Company, DOCK11 and EDEN Studios in Berlin.
